The Sovereignty Circle is our flagship pilot initiative, currently in development, under Pravda AgriFutures Inc. It represents our most ambitious idea yet: to co-create resilient, regenerative food systems grounded in ancestral wisdom and futures thinking, spanning rural communities in Ghana and Manitoba.
Still in its early stages, the Sovereignty Circle is inspired by our vision to design tomorrow’s food systems, today: systems that are not only climate-resilient, but also deeply equitable, locally owned, and culturally grounded.
This pilot is directly aligned with and energized by our application to the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP) Fellowship, which has challenged us to think boldly, collaboratively, and across time horizons.
Futures-Led Community Labs
We will introduce foresight tools such as futures wheels, trend mapping, and storytelling scenarios to help rural youth and elders collectively envision possible futures of food, climate, and community.
Cross-Continental Co-Design
The Sovereignty Circle will connect youth and women in Central Ghana and Manitoba through shared workshops, digital learning exchanges, and collaborative prototyping of closed-loop farming models.
Modular Systems Testing
We aim to pilot low-tech, circular farming systems that integrate poultry, aquaculture, and hydroponics — co-designed with and tested by community members in both regions.
Ancestral Wisdom Meets Foresight
This initiative is a place to honour intergenerational knowledge while imagining radically hopeful, decolonized futures of land, livelihood, and care.
